The classification of phases of matter by their topology has revolutionized our understanding of condensed matter systems. The interest in this topic has been paramount to other areas of research such as photonics and atomic physics. Developments in this area are of relevance in fundamental science and are expected to have a significant impact in the development of novel quantum technologies. This activity will focus on the latest advances in the investigation of topology in electronic, photonic, phononic, and atomic systems. It will bring together leading theorists and experimentalists from distinct communities (correlated materials, mesoscopic physics, atomic physics, quantum optics) offering an excellent opportunity for cross-fertilisation of ideas and an exciting learning experience for
students and early career researchers.
