Scientific organizers:

Prof. Dr. Andrey Surzhykov, PTB Braunschweig ∗ Prof. Dr. Elina Fuchs, U Hannover ∗ PD Dr. Natalia Oreshkina, MPI Heidelberg

The seminar ”Quest of New Physics at the Precision Frontier” aims to provide a platform for fruitful communications between the various physics communities involved in the search for New Physics beyond the Standard Model of particles and interactions. The seminar will present and discuss in detail the cutting-edge results from the different fields of modern physics, including – but not limited to – high-precision atomic and nuclear spectroscopy, long-baseline atom interferometry, detection of ultra-high-frequency gravitational waves, tests of fundamental physics by employing magnetic resonance techniques, and ultra-relativistic ion collisions at the LHC. Besides discussing experimental findings, special attention will also be paid to the progress in Beyond the Standard Model theories.

The award ceremony of the prestigious Helmholtz Prize will be part of the Heraeus Seminar. The prize recognizes outstanding scientific achievements in the field of “Precision Measurements in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine”.  Established in 1973, it is widely regarded as the most prestigious prize in the field of metrology and is awarded in two categories: “Fundamental Principles” and “Applications”.

The conference language will be English. The Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Foundation bears the cost of full-board accommodation for all participants.
